As I linger on the edge of death
I realize I’m all alone
Wondering how long it takes
before someone to notice that I’m gone

As the cold creeps upon me
the fact that no one’s there to grieve
or care about where I will be
It gives me a sense of relieve

From the act of dying
a certain comfort I retrieve
For no one’s hurt after I’m gone
and no one was when I still breathed

My blood stains the ground
Liquids dripping through the floor
The scent .. A stench of rotting flesh
Yet no one seems to know that I’m dying

Underneath my bed
A writhing mass of maggots
and disgusting black bugs
On my body they feast

The decay of my social bonds
have let my body to decay
Broken beyond repair
All that’s left is to fade away

I remain a rotting sack
A source of life to pests
At least now I have worth
Take as much as you need
