I’m finding myself in dire straits
and believe I can no further endure

Rather than live in such disgrace
I wish to die in honor
In the presence of the court

Before the winter solstice comes
and the frost ascends the sky
to become the first glimmer of dawn
To die by ritual suicide is my dream
before I wander on..

I wish to die in spring, beneath the cherry blossoms
While the springtime moon is full and bright
By my sword, my soul, the noblest way to die
A slow and miserable way to die
Yet the ultimate sign of strength

For since my birth, I’ve lived by the code
It guided me through life
and so shall it guide me through death
before the sunrise dies out in me..

To find such power, honesty and strength
it can only come from a most profound resolve

So I ask the higher court to grant my wish
and to let me die by the blade
And to bless my self-inflicted wounds
with a strike to slice of my head
So that I can put an honorable end to my life
to atone for my crimes, and regain my pride

I’ll expose to you my insides now, for I have nothing more to hide
Let the color of my blood be a symbol
For I shall not leave this land behind without pride
And in the wake of my transcendence
my dream goes wandering on..
